Character studies 15-17
Dropin Drama character study part 15! Names are the only fictional part of this.
Griselda-- talks about her autistic son or nephew but in a pathologizing n deficit-focused way despite knowing he is more than that... But my point is, he is even more than THAT.
Janicka-- made the best of having to sleep at the airport n was understanding about there being no spot here for her so staff worked with her to get a taxi to send her to the airport
Leeannah-- her stress n her physical pain fed into each other n she had a psychosomatic breakdown
Nastya-- comfortable talking with staff about services but when I asked her about them I musta scared her n triggered her social anxiety n the poor thing kept apologizing for no good reason
Dropin Drama character study part 16. All names of people are changed.
Leona-- talks all the time to the voices... Often about schizophrenia
Triumph-- might have picked up my charger by accident or on purpose or just seen it in the wastebasket in the bathroom stall she was in but laughed from inside the stall n didnt tell me when she heard me wondering out loud where my charger was. Probably disposed of it herself thinking I was waiting for her outside the stall, cuz I later found it in that stall's wastebasket when I reentered the bathroom.
Ethelyn-- mentions here n there that someone is cutting into her feet with a sharp object. No one but her sees anyone even around her feet.
Donia-- told the staff dutifully that a toilet wasn't working but felt so guilty about bothering them that she threw in a few compliments about the staff member's clothes
Dropin Drama character study part 17. Names of course are changed.
Theresia-- stoically welcomes people to the dropin on nights where fights get really bad about who sleeps where n who is blocking whose storage bin and who hasn't showered n stinks n who is pacing in too crowded n cramped a space n who snores n who is sitting too close to who n who bumped into or hit or is picking on who
Lolita-- asked for the key to the disabled washroom n had to explicitly repeat herself about the nature of her foot injury before the staff believed her n stopped telling her to stop asking for unessential stuff
Darienne-- had a breakdown n staff asked her if she needed medical attention n she refused cuz it was a mental breakdown n she probly woulda ended up in the mental hospital
